Chapter 6 Response Larry

In Chapter 6, Allen talks about processing specifically. Processing means to empty your inbox and review everything there. Allen recommends process things top down instead of picking those loudest. This practice makes sure that we clear away all the things. When we process, we ask if this item is actionable or not. If it's not, then trash it, reference it, or incubate it. If it is, let's identify the very next specific action to progress it. If that action takes more than two minutes, well, we should delegate it to someone else and wait for reply, or we can defer it. If that action takes no more than 2 minutes, we should do it right now.

I find it's extremely helpful to process the items one by one and follow the order. I need to resist the tempt to get the most urgent things done. Actually, there are just a lot of things that are loud and urgent and they should just be treated equally.
